Went to the SL meeting

Okay, maybe chastising wasn't the right word. My point was simply that it was the only thing in that post that could be disputed. The rest was pretty spot on.

In the end though....doesn't really matter because Greg isn't listening. He never has, so why would he start now? Good point after good point has been given to Greg, but he glosses right over them and continues to argue with the same old points that have been given before, even though he's been proven wrong or that SL isn't the only source for certain things. Either way, he's still going to argue from a point of ignorance all the while thinking that he's the one that's making sense. Like it was said earlier....he's a brick wall when it comes to that. His lack of knowledge and the way he twists things is extremely entertaining though!
I have to agree with you here! It is funny to watch and I tried my best to just provide a logical argument based on facts. But like you said, move forward and onward to building my agency. It is not even worth debating, however I do have a great point I am going to make on my next post.

I started this thread and was honest about what I was told. A 120% contract was never mentioned, nor a 75% advance and neither was a $25 DM lead. If those 3 things would have been discussed the offer would have been much more attractive. There were 2 guys from SL there, 1 sold over the phone and 1 was F2F. I hope they follow up with their leads faster than with me because so far no one has called.
This is my closing argument and I will be done with this thread of paragraphs of posts unless the disrespect continues.
"120 with $375 per 1000 mail drop. Does your upline give you that? We can go above 120 for those with some serious production." - From Greg Hinton

BillyB sorry to bombard your thread, good news is that I will start you off at a 120 and you can then go to Greg, since you are one of my agents get a 130% contract level, $25 DM leads and a 75% as mentioned by Greg!!

That would be awesome for you and make their offer so much more attractive! I truly hope this works out for you or you can just take the 120% contract level with a 75% advance and $25 leads, which is a pretty good offer. Wish you the best of luck in your final expense endeavors. Please keep us all posted on how this goes and the levels he gives you. Thank you!

One baby on the way, first child, first son coming in about 30 days!! But yes, trying to build this business at a younger age with the philosophy of NEVER missing time with the family in the future. The more work I do today, the less work I will HAVE to do tomorrow. Perhaps retirement isn't for me at that age, but the ability to do so if I wanted to would be beautiful thing.
Congrats on the young 'un.. Praying mother and son do well..

Well, I just take it he is a fellow that is dedicated to what he does.. He is sold on the Legacy plan and no one else offers it so therefore SL is head and shoulders above the rest.. As for changing his mind, you are wasting your time and effort. However, there is nothing wrong with offering counterpoints to his recruiting pitch so potential agents can make an informed decision..

There are plans out there like their "Legacy" plan that clients don't have to pay for.

Besides that, do you remember when Greg was supposed to find out what percentage of people actually use that program that they pay for? My bet is that it is way less than 50%...but he can't say one way or the other. He never tried to find out. It might just bust his bubble on that if he knew the truth.

I have seen other plans but they do not lock in the price of the funeral merchandise..

Todd, why would I invest my time trying to calculate the % of policy holders who take advantage of legacy savings? That's what bean counters do. My mission is to sell and recruit and do things that bring in income.

That's like me asking you "what % of your Foresters policies did not pay the claim because the family never filed a claim"? Who knows? Would you let that keep you from selling Foresters?

I'll make that bet! You drink they Kool-aid just a bit too often.

Todd, don't you remember 5 years ago when I was sharing the positives about FE tele-sales? YOU, and others, said it was a failed model, would never work, would have bad persistency, etc.

Now we see other FE carriers starting to embrace FE tele-sales. You were wrong then. And even though I don't have a crystal ball I think you'll be proved to be wrong again.

Have a great day! You seem to need it.
