WFG or Primerica? What better options are there?

Except that "spending time" usually requires the payment of an IBA fee, plus training/marketing materials, paying for seminars, conferences and conventions....to name a few. And with MLM forces churning at a 60% clip annually, this churn actually pays the rent and keeps a rare few driving fine cars. If you really have conviction, offer a starting pay rate plus commissions to any willing to take up your offer. Talk is cheap in MLM.

Nothing wrong with MLM - so long as there is a real product and nobody gets paid on signup fees.

Ok toolbelt here is the bottom line. As you have your reasons for not liking the MLM concept which to some extent I agree. But inside of financial services and Legal membership I'm pro on it.

Now here it is. With many organizations be it most or all the associates are 1099 independent contractors and can build their business in any way they so choose within company guidelines.

Don't want to recruit? Then don't recruit. Only want to sell then only sell. Don't want to go full-time? Then start and stay part-time. Choices.. 1099

But regardless of what you choose, the fees for online access, seminars, books, marketing materials, conferences, conventions, etc etc continues.

Unless 30% or more of revenue is made selling to those recruited, plus other background fees, in which case it meets the criteria of a pyramid scheme. The breakdown is never known, although easily estimated, until regulators investigate, which they seldom do. Which is why they leave the determination in the hands of the consumer, as per the FTC's MLM tab.

Then if people have a problem with it they should leave. Also every business have cost of doing business. Next is how much is covered at tax time?
