What Do You Drive?

I drove a GMC Terrain 4-cyl. It definitely felt like you were working it way too hard. The 6-cyl was a real nice vehicle though. Wife preferred the Ford Edge so we got her one of those.

She only kept the Ford Edge about 4-months because every control (heater, radio, etc. ) was touch screen soft buttons and/or voice activated. She HATED that. So them we got her a Jeep Commander Overland. It's loaded with everything and it all operates with good old fashioned knobs and switches. She loves it. I do too. But that Hemi wasn't designed with the FE agent in mind. 14mpg wouldn't cut it in my world.

My new Mini is rated at 29/36 mpg. That's what I need.

By the way, I've got a real good 2008 Mazda3 Grand Touring Hatchback I'm going to be selling soon. It already knows how to run FE leads and gets great gas milage. It would make a great, reliable work car for an up and coming FE agent and the sucker that bought it new already took the biggest hit on it. (me)

Got my wife a 2011 equinox last year. Wish I would have went with the V-6.

Yeah, I was insistant on the V6. My wife kept saying the 4 cyl was fine with her but I had a Malibu with the 4 cyl and that was just too big of a car for a 4 cyl.

We ended up going to Clarksville, Tn to get the one we wanted and driving back she said she was glad we got the V6. This new car is not as apowerful as the Accadia and she said she would have hated the 4 cyl if it was less power than this.

I had a found a GMC Terrain V6 fully loaded about 25 miles from us but when we got over there and looked at it she didn't like the boxy look of the Terrain. That dealer also sold Equinox but they didn't have a fully loaded V6 and couldn't lacte one less than a day's drive away.

Yes it does seem a little underpowered. I don't think I will ver buy another 4 cylinder again, not even if it gets 50 mpg.

I think the Malibu's sound awful with their 4 cyl and that's why I didn't want the equinox with one. My wife talked me out of the 6. Never again. I might have to get a dodge with a hemi in it to make up for all these lost power years...

I have a Jeep Commander that gets about 11-14. Liked my previous Grand Cherokee better, even though it didn't fare too much better on MPG. Tradeoff for the third-row seats with Commander hasn't been worth it for me.

Loving my Traverse. Third row seats and about 24 MPG on the interstate. For a big vehicle, I will take it and be glad.

I drive a Cessna 172. 100% American made and proud of it!

Burns about 8 gallons an hour with a 120 mph groundspeed without wind. But at least aviation fuel is only $6 gallon.
