What Do You Drive?

Most American cars are crap driver's cars.

That's funny!:twitchy: Actually what you got into was the continuation of a long argument/discussion about this between Newby and me. It's pretty civil mostly even though it may not seem like it on the board.

The new Toyota truck commercials now boast of being made in America pointing out Ford and Chevy are not. I have been like JD and only bought American names but Newby has me rethinking that. I think I would rather support the American worker over the maybe American investor.

But wait, I get a GM discount from grandpa in law.

I think I'd rather buy a domestic car made outside of the U.S. The assemblers probably have way better work ethics.

i bought a shirt last week, after i got home and was removing the tags. MADE IN VIETNAM. i just shook my head.. japan, germany, vietnam. it reminds me of an old movie. a small county, declared war on the us, so they could surrender, and get foreign aid...

Ain't it the truth. My daddy used to tell me that one of the best things that could happen to a country is to lose a war to the U.S. (Vietnam is an exception IMO).

Assembled in Ky, profits sent back to Japan. I will not own, drive or ride in a foreign vehicle by choice.

Shareholders get the profit. The workers get the paychecks and pay their taxes in THIS country. Sounds like something I can get on board with. Then again, I'm a Honda guy, so I guess I might be biased. (Mine was made in Ohio)

ok......here is my ride........
