What is "must have" advice for a newbie?

Whether he has the top levels or not, I would not know. But to come on here and just lay out a personal conversation you had with him shows who you are and what you're made of. This is just so uncalled for, but I'm really not surprised that much since it's you. And you try to promote how much of a christian you are. This is the very reason why I have never had the 1st amount of respect for you.

lol you are the last person that should chime in on this. You convinced Jody Hayworth to steal my training to create Finalexpense101. I have no respect for you also.

Your so hysterical and hypocritical at the same time lol

Just a thought I have had many times since joining the forum. I must have heard the phrase "stealing agents" a dozen times. I do not think of myself as some thing" that can be stolen.

How does an agent get stolen? Now, the case quoted above, if true, would be stealing: in this case, someone stole someone else's intellectual property. The operative word, imo, is property. Property gets stolen, human beings get kidnapped. Kidnapping, of course, is being taken without one's permission, as is stealing someone's property with respect to the property owner.

So how do these agents get stolen? Isn't contracting with an agency a business relationship? So if one party, presumably the agent, wishes to sever that relationship, and does so of his or her own free will, where is the thievery?

If someone offers an agent better contracts, is the agent not free to take them? And has the agency offering those contracts done something improper? Or, if the agent does something that displeases his or her upline, and the upline calls the agent and scolds and "tears the agent a new one," and the agent decides he or she wishes to avoid such confrontations in the future, how then has the agent been stolen?

I'm just thinking out loud here. None of us is perfect, agents and agency owners alike. But I do think we agents should not be looked upon as property that is susceptible to potential theft. We are not property, nor are we employees. I think we expect to be told the truth by our agencies, that we expect our agencies to do the things we were promised it would do, we expect fair, honest, and competitive compensation (and I do not think this necessarily means the "highest" contract), and most of all, at least to me, we expect to be treated with respect.

Few agents would likely leave an agency that fulfills those expectations. I wrote this all very quickly, and perhaps I have missed a thing or two about agent expectations; but I think that if an agent leaves for a new home, it is, imho, safe to assume that that agent did not feel at home where he or she was, and that was likely because the agency failed to meet one or more of those expectations.

Answering the question placed in the title... :spinny:

I've seen a few ads recruiting for FE insurance.

I'm a 43yr old male, no kids. I am looking for a sales position that is rewarding, both financially and purpose. When I think of most sales people, I think "scammer." As I think many do.

I wamt to be that guy that puts the person at ease, build the trust and friendship needed between clients to have a successful business.

I've done everything from cleaning, baking, wedding cakes, vacation sales, business owner, sold a business and now, here I sit.

This industry seems competitive but rewarding from what I've read. It takes determination, patience, trust, etc from what I see, just like most things in life .

Any advice would be appreciated!

I knew you were a snake way before you ever called me.

@Migshannon no one on this forum should ever listen to you you're a thief and you're a liar. Not once has Ryan Caras or EFES or Todd, done what you have done they don't lie They don't cheat and they don't steal, you've stolen from EFES and from Thad, just name a few, You got sued and lost I think there's a little more proof in that pudding Then the smack you're trying to sell. You talk Christian on one side of your mouth and then the other side of the mouth you're stealing money, agents, and downlines from agencies and companies you get sued for it you lost you shouldn't even be in the business. I would anybody take the word of a proven liar versus Ryan, Todd, Ben, EFES. Sadly you're the worst type of Christian.
