What people value most in an advisor

The pic below is meant for Financial Advisors, but I believe can be applicable to insurance Advisors as well.

I see too many agents pushing one-size-fits-all products, not listening to the client, and not knowing their craft.

Tap the breaks.

Learn your products. Listen to the client. They will tell you what they need.
We are here to protect them.

Caveat, not an agent.

As a buyer, I would modify #2 to read something like correct advice based on a correct understanding of a product being discussed or recommended.

And, as a corollary,

If the advisor is also selling a product, the advisor needs to take care that the product application results in a product which will actually meet the prospect's goals.
