Which IMO S Should I Be Contracting Through?

Hello all, I have a question for you all. I am in the process of finding IMO's to contract through to sell health and life products. I am starting an agency in Michigan and want build the agent base ASAP. I am wondering who are some good IMO's to go through for health and life that offer the highest commissions as well as be able to contact them and get issues handled,ect. I dont need leads or anything like that, I just want to know that if I have a problem, my IMO will answer the phone and work through it with me. And also, get paid top commissions so I can offer my agents higher commissions too.

I know Mark Rosenthal and Todd King are good people to go through, but are there any others?

I always recommend calling at least 3 IMO's.

Let me tell you what I think you should be looking for in an IMO.

I have a long list of things I would look for in a IMO or FMO.

These are in no certain order.

1. Must have a toll free phone number and answer the phone when I call them.
2. Offers great commissions and great products.
3. Knows their products and can help explain them to me.
4. Has a great website full of tools and things that will help me.
5. HAS GREAT TRAINING.
6. Has great Ideas, Prospecting Systems, can show me where to buy some leads if I want them, and can help me get started.
7. Must be willing to be on my side when the Ins Company does me wrong and take up for me.
8. Offers an Up Front Release if I ask for it, or when I want one.
9. Must answer all of my dumb questions.
10. I personal answer emails 15 hours a day. I had to through that one in.
11. An IMO that keeps their word and won't lie to me.
12. May sure the IMO does not pay you out of their own pocket. That you money comes direct from the INS company.
13. I want an IMO that sells insurance and know what it is like to be out in the field and deal with some of these clients. You will find that some IMO have not sold a policy in years.

I used to think I had a great FMO until I found out I was wrong.

If you don't need leads and you produce significantly you will either be strong with the Company in your own right or you will easily have your IMO supporting you when needed.

Everything is subject to change. I guess.

I say to contract with Mark and the companies he represents. If you want to represent other carriers that he doesn't write with, go contract with someone else for those carriers. You know that if you deal with Mark that he will teach you and won't do you wrong. I honestly don't think you'll find someone as friendly and willing to help you as much as Mark and his company does.

I plan on using Mark for life appointments. I spent a while on the phone with him and he is great. He answered all of my questions, and boy did I have alot of them
