Which IMO S Should I Be Contracting Through?

I plan on using Mark for life appointments. I spent a while on the phone with him and he is great. He answered all of my questions, and boy did I have alot of them

I say to contract with Mark and the companies he represents. If you want to represent other carriers that he doesn't write with, go contract with someone else for those carriers. You know that if you deal with Mark that he will teach you and won't do you wrong. I honestly don't think you'll find someone as friendly and willing to help you as much as Mark and his company does.

I've worked with several different IMO's in the past. Here is my advice.

WHAT TO AVOID
- Your IMO should be seperate from your marketing. Yes an IMO should offer direction and strategy for marketing, but it is a conflict of interest for them to 'sell' you marketing leads.
- Avoid any IMO 'strategy' that recommends becoming a lead junkie.
- Avoid any IMO's that wave dollar signs and promises of 'get rich quick'. They are the only one's getting rich. They typically provide 0 support, generic automated training, and no strategy direction.

WHAT TO SEEK
- An IMO that is willing to invest their time to help your agency grow.
- An IMO with executives who pick up their telephone and return your phone calls - even after you sign with them.
- An IMO who believes that provides ongoing strategy, training and guidance to help make their agencies/agents prosper.

My personal recommendation is Sellin Advisor Group sellinag.com Steve Walther is their VP of brokerage relations. He always answers his phone and returns phone calls if he isn't traveling. I am a loyalist, but Sellin AG has earned my loyalty.

If you're still looking for another IMO for Health in Michigan, I would personally Recommend either AEA out of Grand Rapids or Warner Pacific out of Southfield. (Warner has reps throughout the state and I believe hold contracts with every major carrier)

I do not know Mark, however he has a great reputation on the forum and he seems very helpful, earnest and knowledgeable. I am with Todd and I like, he is their when I need him and the contracts are good.
