Who Writes Habitational?

I have a few apartment complexes in NC but can't find a carrier for it. Any ideas?

I write in NC and have two companies I can write habitational with. If your looking for someone to add with no requirements you could always do a brokerage like Jsa, but in my experience their rates on habitational have been worse than my other 2 companies.

Any claims? Tell me about the apartments some? Size, value, location and year built? Are these quality buildings or kind of on the lower side of things.

Who do you have for commercial right now? I'm surprised you don't have anyone who will do habitational.

Ncsu you in Raleigh? Who are the carriers? I have heard Zurich and travelers.

Could be the risk itself causing problems me thinks (lack of updates, lack of management, poor financials, poor loss experience... list could go on)

Without knowing the details, it's hard to ascertain an answer for the right carrier.

I'm basically in raleigh, Erie is my top carrier.

I've done Erie habitational in the past, something must have changed or we must be looking at a different type of risk compared to what I've done.

Philladelphia is great at habitational right now... Do you have them? My sales rep with them told me they were pricing wise one of the best in the state right now and asked me to give them a try (although as of right now, I haven't).

Greenville NC I talked to phil but it was for another type of risk. Talked to surplus, risk was to big. Current premium is over 300k

I really though philadelphia would have taken it. I'm going to keep thinking on it.... For some reason I want to say Hanover insurance might be good.

Try Montgomery maybe?

I'm stumped beyond what I've already said, try Jsa or tapco. I know nationwide does some big ones here in the raleigh area, so maybe check with their independent arms (allied and harleysville).

Montgomery doesn't. Allied doesn't do hab. I will call jsa today.

We lost a few in raleigh to nationwide. They seem to do all of them in Raleigh.
