Worst Appt Week EVER!

Well I had my 6th appt, she showed up with her brother & BOTH got policies, but it took awhile. So I called my 7th appt, and told her I'd have to reschedule, it was clear across town, I'm starving & it's close to 90 degrees today.

I had already met her in person, she's Def interested... And she said next week is fine with her. She was 1 of my No shows this week too.

So..... Keep at it ppl, keep at it!

I believe his 0-8 was sold policies.... Not 8 ppl in a row that just didn't show up!

I can't remember if it was a combination of no shows and sits or just sits, but he went 0 of 8. It was a good call, he kept it real. It happens to everyone at one point or another. Glad to hear you sold a couple.

And you survived and prospered. What a lesson for all of us.

Did I mention that I had used our last money for gas counting on that commission check. Back in the days when everything I did was traditional underwriting. Mailing the app it may not even hit pending for 7-10 days, 30 to 90 days to commission check. And yeah, had to wait for the paper check to come in the mail. And the bank to be open to cash it.

TDfn & Wino,
I can definitely relate to most everyone here's stories. I'm an "old timer" in the biz and still had a very shitty week this week, and yes, it was very hot and humid too. Hang in there, it always gets better if we keep our attitude up and focused, and use the GOYA formula.
When working DM leads, I try to make 10 "stops" every day, win, lose, or draw. If you're making cold calls (face-to-face), talk to twenty people every day.

Hang in there. and best of success to all of you!

The encouraging part is that he didn't eat his .44 magnum. Either that or he had so much wine that he missed!

I tried but I was out of 44 ammo. I tried putting two 22s in the cylinder, finally gave up and popped another cork. Then all was better.

Maybe I'm old school but I was taught not to worry with setting appointments, unless they specifically ask you to come back at a certain time. If I can't get in the door NOW, I ask when's the best time to catch them home, and just tell them I'll try to catch them another time. This is how my upline built their careers. Most of them were ex-Combined, Fuller Brush & Kirby salesman. It's certainly harder to sell life this way but I've been having success with simple Cancer plans. I wrote one up on a front porch the other day! Anybody still do it this way?

Now I'm listening! U from Cali and u r on Shannon's team! We need to talk. Keep your head up like u always have when things dont workout as planned. :)...stay hydrated!

I generally set between 3-6 appts a week, and door knock the rest. My appts show up close to 75% of the time typically. I've just knocked on my 5th appt door 10min ago & she's my 5th No-Show!

I have 2 more appts set today, anyone wanna guess if I'll go 1 for 6 or 0 for 7?

Anyone ever have a worst week, appt wise? I can't imagine anyone has gone worst then 0-5?

Gotta love this job.... Never seen anything like this & I thought by now I would've seen pretty much everything!

Let the law of large numbers take effect. For ex., if you have 20 DM leads and average closing 25% of them as a weekly average, that means you ave. 5 sales per 20 leads contacted. This means the 1st 15 leads could be "no's", and the last 5 leads could all be "yesses".

I'd be willing to bet your next 8-10 appointments are almost all there for the appointment.
