Writing an App a Day

How do you determine if a prospect will invest the difference or not lapse their perm ins? One usually can't determine that for many years?

Writing an app a day is absolutely achievable, been doing it week in week out for close to a year. All sales are made face to face,

I know an agent with Old American who wrote an app a day (25 per month) for twenty straight years! Usually working no more than two days a week. But when needed he worked as many days as needed.

I would say use your observational skills. Look around, look at debt, look at lifestyle.

but really your question doesn't have an answer, does it? I'm too old to look for a reason to justify what I sell compared to somebody else. Everything's good and everything's bad. Figure out what works for their situation and write the policy.

There is a need for every type of insurance out there. Don't beat your fingers numb trying to prove one type is better than the other, because simply everytime you change the customer your final "answer" could be wrong. learn em all, sell what fits the situation.

TX, what was his source or marketing activity?

Very few agents write an app a day because they don't go door to door as they used too. Especially those debit guys. Now everybody wants to work off phone appointments or online. But technology is changing modus operandi...people comfortable with online/phone enrollments after talking with agent.

My goal has always been to write one app a day that stays on the books. I have been very successful selling in the senior market writing one app per day.

That's great, do you wish to share?

I can write 2-3 per week----------most I ever wrote was 11 but that was killing myself and not all stayed on the books or were actually delivered. Plus I was only writing them at night and on weekends----BUT I was getting a paycheck.

I sure would like to learn from others----I'd love to hear how you do it---etc.:)
