Your Insurance Office...???

I sure will, I like the layout I just wanted to see if this was a common issue from users before I put much of my time into the trial.

No, but there are a lot of factors on our end (the application) and your end (the user) that can contribute to this scenario.

Saw your ticket, we'll not bore everyone here and pick it up over there.

Thank you radius Bob the problem has been solved, seems to work fast and smooth, now to try to understand its capabilities!

I appreciate your quick response!

Regards,
Danny

my friend owns the service. its online and I have user it for about 5 years. I love it and it can be altered to fit your needs. I will call my friend dale in the morning and see whats up.

I know you can't be using ir right now because the site is down??

ZOHO is also good. I've customized it to do exactly what I need (email integration, lead management, policy management, task management, calendar integration, etc.). The price is right, too.

The price is right until it goes down, which it did about a year ago. It was down for basically the whole day and on a day in which I really needed it. I can guarantee they lost a lot of users because of that. I've rarely had a problem with cloud computing but that's an example of what can happen, even temporarily. They kept tweeting "It will be up in an hour" and it took all day.

Frank had a developer he worked with to develop YIO. He came up with the idea, features etc. and the developer made it happen. I suppose no one knows who that was.

FWIW he had also mentioned coming up with a cloud component of YIO at some point in the near future as well.

Didn't realize support would present a problem once the software was installed...Think I'll take a look at Outlook...Great program, never considered it for a CMP...

What happens when the HD crashes and you don't have a copy of the program? I'm assuming that's what is meant by a lack of support. Hence the emphasis on backing up multiple times.

Even with backups, a local program can leave you without access for a few days. I used YIO when I first started. I really liked the program features. When I lost my HD, it was 3 days before I could get a new HD installed and then get everything reinstalled and reconfigured from backups. I lost about 5 days worth of data (I was doing weekly backups), most of which I was able to re-enter. But the big issue was being without access to any data for 3 days, and then my time (many hours) to rebuild everything.

I remember the ZOHO issue you referenced. Yes it was frustrating, but not nearly as frustrating as my prior experience, and there was no data loss. Also, as a side note, about 7 months ago my laptops power supply went out. Took a few days to diagnose the problem, and then another few days for me to decide to replace the laptop rather than repair it. However, from day one I still had access to my ZOHO data and application through a loaner laptop.

Based on the entire history I would never go back to a locally installed application/database.
