For the record, I made bank on YP ads in the late 80's, early 90's. My niche was banner ads.

This is a great article. I didn’t pay anywhere near $240 a month. I pay $65. If I make 1 Med Supp sale that stays with me for 2 years, I’m ahead by $50.
If they don’t stay with me it’s because I didn’t do my job.

*shrugs* if nothing happens then I cancel next year. It’s a little under 800 for the year. I’m willing to take a small chance based on my market. It tends to be more successful in rural areas with older people.

UPDATE:
The YP came out today and my ad mysteriously wasn't there. An immediate call to YP notes they "forgot" my ad.
I immediately told them to refund my money and cancel my contract; which they did.
I feel like I just dodged a bullet
