2 Weeks Before Christmas

This has been my busiest Dec so far. All in bound calls and referrals. Kinda scary probably being set up for huge charge backs in January.

Expecting my first granddaughter end of next week. So that will stop all work.

I also call BS on my original post. If someone wants to meet me I will go. <unless the baby is coming> I can not help myself.

I stop selling around the 15th, sometimes a week before in December- I been in this business going on 14 years- yes, others will tell you that December is wide open because nobody works it blah, blah blah.. nobody works it because you'll get the same line over and over... "Can you come back next month, Christmas kinda broke me this year, with as many grand babies I have and all..."

You'll get a sale, no doubt- but December is basically my vacation month anyways- I bust ass Jan-Nov with a family 1 week vacation in there somewhere and take from the Dec 10th - Jan 3 or so....

If you catch them at the tail end of Nov or early December- your sales will higher at that week then any other week in December

I don't have any apts scheduled beyond Friday of this week. I will most likely not push for any unless I get a referral or a call in that wants an apt.

We're having a bigger week this week than last week already. Based on my experience the holidays are only a limit on the people that let them be. (not counting you guys who are taking vacations, completely up to you)

It's pretty simple, it's a Christmas gift to your family that's better than a pair of socks and you don't have to pay anything until next year. Objections = overcome.

Shutting it down on the 15th. 16 Years in and I have always had a hard time getting prospects to focus during the Christmas Season not matter what line of business it is. Good time for planning and finishing paperwork. Of course if somebody calls me to take an app I am in, but alas, those are few and far between.

Dec can be as productive as any other month if you work it like any other month.

I don't treat it as any other month anymore. I will get my regular number of leads this Sat but then that's it for the year. No leads on Sat the 22nd or the 29th.

Probably hit it hard for the first half of next week and then coast into Christmas and New Year's week. Might do a little service work or catch up with some people that have called about doing a review.

I used to work every day except for Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I don't have to do that anymore so I don't.

Been in the business 15 years, and second that. All these stories about getting that "Christmas Eve" sale, is for the most part, hogwash. Read a book, spend more time with family and friends (what we tell others to do works for us as well).

That's funny. I've also heard these fish stories about the Christmas Eve or Thanksgiving Day sales but it's always from someone they knew that did it. You can never hear from the person that actually made this great sale.
