2 Weeks Before Christmas

I hear you bro, Every agent that wants the "Easy Money" falls for the Marketers pitch. I did nothing but knock doors without leads when I started knocked 50 doors a day or 250 to 300 doors a week until I could afford leads then I door knocked leads 6 days a week. After reading your posts I decided to call the leads to set appt and door knock the ones with no numbers I run appts 3 days a week and schedule 3 days a week much easier your way and I went from 4 apps a week to 6 but im still working 5 to 6 days a week.

That's funny. I've also heard these fish stories about the Christmas Eve or Thanksgiving Day sales but it's always from someone they knew that did it. You can never hear from the person that actually made this great sale.

I can't say I've had a Thanksgiving day sale, but when I was beating the streets doing pure FE I got a sale on Christmas Eve because I linked it to the presents under her tree. Nothing magical about it, but she needed it, and didn't see it being a big deal that it was Christmas Eve.
 
I got a list of Jewish and Muslim seniors and will be door knocking them Christmas Day, Might send them an invitation to a breakfast seminar.

Make sure to serve chinese food. It's all we're allowed to eat that day...for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
 
December can be a great month if you work. I didn't work Christmas Eve until the 26th. Worked 6 days a week my first yr and wrote $21k in FE AP that December.

Be sure to offer to accept a post dated checks and just know that a lot of biz will be post dated.

Don't let one or two people that put you off, dictate your success. Work hard and you'll do great.
 
Dec can be as productive as any other month if you work it like any other month.

I agree 100% with this statement. Last week I wrote over $4k in 3 days in the field training a field agent. The week before that I wrote just over $4k in 4 days doing tele-sales and had 2 other agents to also write over $4k. Kim has written over $4k in 2 days working this past Fri and Sat. Yes, Dec is a great month if you stay focused.
 
Most people would rather get their financial needs taken care of now as opposed to putting off until the new year. A guy a refer some final expense business to has continued to write about 5k per week this month. He even mentioned he replaced 4 over priced senior life policies earlier this month. They were easy sales as the agent who sold senior life to them over the phone didn't even bother mailing the clients the policies. Why wouldn't the agent or company send out the policies??? Seems fishy to me

Post dated checks? why do you even need to bother with that if they have a bank account just set the draft date in the future. Is LH that much behind the times?

What script / approach did you use when knocking 200+ doors a week cold? And what times did you knock at and then schedule your next day appts at?
 
I worked all day 6 days a week from 9:30 till 7 or dark. I just pulled a list of 65 to 80 in a zip code and went at it. Their is no Magic pitch just introduce yourself tell them who you are and end by saying Got a minuet? some will let you in some wont move on. Its not a long term model for this business but it will get you started.
