I hear you bro, Every agent that wants the "Easy Money" falls for the Marketers pitch. I did nothing but knock doors without leads when I started knocked 50 doors a day or 250 to 300 doors a week until I could afford leads then I door knocked leads 6 days a week. After reading your posts I decided to call the leads to set appt and door knock the ones with no numbers I run appts 3 days a week and schedule 3 days a week much easier your way and I went from 4 apps a week to 6 but im still working 5 to 6 days a week.
