2008 Lead Company Update

Back to reality...

A quick update of my 2008 ratings:

NetQuote: Out of the picture for now. With 50% off campaign, leads are oversold. I sense affiliate problem is still not settled either.

InsureMe- OK for local leads, but don't venture more than 30-60 miles away from home

LeadCo- For now...OK. But no response from them regarding EHealth link.

Leads4Agents.com- So far so good, although it is early. Accuracy of information is pretty good and most prospects seem to have some degree of interest.

InsuranceLeadz- Went from bad to worse. Recently offered a credit to your account if you complete their short survey. Mine never appeared and no response to repeated requests. For now, stay away from them.

VIMO- hot and cold. Filters miss a lot but price is decent. Don't forget to turn off your leads before 10:00 p.m.

ProspectZone- Bad quality and most pre-existing conditions not even listed.

HealthLeads.com- $5 per lead. Unfortunately I have not been able to reach them for about four years. They may be out of business.

I used NQ for a short period of time. Due to the level of complaints I received I stopped.
I would call them and they would tell me I was the 10th person to call them. I wondered how this could be? I just got the notification and was dialing as I was reading it.
I also stopped using InsMe, QuoteAuction, and AgntInstider for the same reasons. They are all selling leads to one another. So business with one you do with all. I like having one company to work with. They seem to be able to offer the lowest insurance quote.

I did start using QuickLowQuotes.com in Maryland. You have to be licensed in Maryland to use them but they are great so far.
I ask the prospect how many calls they get and they tell me they have gotten mine, and the most I heard, was two others.
I use them to buy life insurance, home insurance, renters and condo insurance, and auto car insurance leads.
Good stuff but you have to be in Maryland.

Quick Low Quotes

Nothing up my sleeve. Presto

Has anyone used Benepath? What are you thoughts.

Thought about it, but from an associate that used them, was not happy, due he had some serious issues with the leads and the Owner. You will typically get a younger single prospect with the one page quote that gathers the information. Health Insurance Quotes and Affordable Health Insurance Plans - Compare Health Insurance Rates Also not a big volume producer of Leads in most areas. So if your looking for volume, I doubt you will find there. $18.00 for an Internet lead is really, in my opinion, not a good buisness move. Due to all Leads are gathered thru PPC Advertising which creates Lower converting leads. Site is just capturing quotes, and not an educational informative Health Site that gathers quality leads after education. I recommend the following:

Family Health Insurance

It would kill my ROI.

Benepath - I think it may be great in some areas. I have been testing it and have been less than pleased so far, just in the quality of the leads (build, age, means) but I do get very few bad numbers and make contact with a lot of the folks. The leads are exclusive (although there is no telling how many other sites the shoppers have been to - I know several I have spoken with have visited other sites and are getting calls as a result) and that is a huge bonus. Clelland and his team have been very nice and easy to work with, they assure me that they are fine tuning things on their end. Again, to clarify my first sentence - it may just be my area? My opinions may also be significantly skewed by shared lead providers that allow subscribers to pick specific area codes.

Another big plus with Benepath is that the volume drops to nil on the weekends for those of us who would like to relax a little (or catch up.)

THe bottom line is that this could be the best lead service in the world for you and the only way to find out is to try it yourself. Because they are truly exclusive territories - if you wait around for someone to find out that it is working there, it's too late.

On Benepath, I have a few comments.

1) we have only had two agents in South Florida who have used our leads and are no longer customers. Both agents have outstanding balances having not paid their bills. All the other agents in South Florida will not give up their territories and have been clients since we launched.
2) The average age of our leads is 38 and over 45% of our leads are families
3) We work closely with our agents to improve the quality and are committed to that
4) The leads are 100% exclusive - and are never resold. And since the prospects see your quotes on the benepath site (as well as your name and your agency name), they go to other sites less than 10% of the time (we tracked that number in detail)
5) We stopped selling insurance when we decided to take this direction.

Benepath publishes over 6 articles a month on health insurance topics and we have a substantial amount of content in our site. Our blogs and FAQ's are linked directly to all of our landing pages, which are not dead ends unless you put your info in our site.

Quality agents report back that their close ratios are in the 15-30% range and that they are contacting 50%-75% of their leads.

How about we stop trying to sell the Leads, and let current customers post thier results, so others can make thier own decision. If your quality is that good, let the results and other speak for you. Get your customers to respond on the leads, will bring more credibility.:noteworthy:
