5 Ways to Earn a Prospect's Trust

Here are 5 more ways to earn a prospects trust:

1. Start off each sentence with: "quite honestly"

2. End each sentence with: "and I wouldn't lie to you!

3. Throw in a few: "and I'm not just trying to sell you something"

4. Make it clear that your manager has only authorized you to make this offer for the next 48 hours.

5. When setting appointments, make it clear that your presentation only takes "5 or 10 minutes".

That's mighty interesting. Every time I hear

"Honestly,"

"To tell you the truth,"

"I'm not trying to sell you something,"

I immediately think of pink elephants.

I mean--whatever the opposite is of what they're saying.

"Everything I just said was a lie, but now..."

"Before now, I wasn't telling you the truth, but now that you've forced my hand..."

"Look at this smokescreen--I really am trying to sell you this thing..."


Instead of pushing features & benefits, how about uncovering real reasons for someone to do business with you?
