I know this reply is a bit late but you must be new to insurance! That is exactly how some leads will respond....one spouse will say"she's not here but we're interested or she handles her own business. Come back tomorrow.

So you do and no one home, no one answers the door, or somebody else will say they are not interested or just upgraded their Colonial Penn life....lol.

Best to call them on phone just moments as you're driving up and if they try to put you off say you have a "complementary guide" to give them also with the information.

I did not call the prospect prior to the drive but looking back on it I will the next time I have one appt and have to drive that far. The bad thing about it was the daughter was the gate keeper and we all know how difficult gate keepers can be.

I don't find "gatekeepers" to be difficult at all. In fact, I find the opposite. I love to get the gatekeeper involved. I can't even count how many second and third policies I've sold to the gatekeeper by getting them involved.

Now, the third party gatekeeper that you didn't know about until a few days after the sale, those are very difficult. The ones I know about in advance, I love em!!:yes:
