That is fine if they want to get a dog. I just will not allow a cop with a hard on to think he will violate my rights. If you want to do that more power to you, but that is not how I would do it. And the officers don't have that much pull in jail where they tell inmates to "work people over", if they want you that bad they do it themselves. Inmates don't respect officers enough to do that. But happy the OP got out of his ticket seat belt tickets are not cheap anymore.

I was at the local trailer park prepper's house the other day. Sold 2 policies partly cause I talked guns with him for 15-20 min. It was awesome. He showed his AR15s, shotguns dozens of handguns. As I looked around I noticed ammo stacked as far as the eye could see.

Anyway, I made mention that I'm still waiting for my LTCH. He recommended I carry open on my hip lol. I told him I wasn't sure if that would go over well with most clients. He disagreed. I didn't argue with him, but it does make me wonder lol.

Same here. I have been asked a few times and always refused. The main thing is how you treat the cop if you are acting like a jerk they will treat you like a jerk. But if you are respectful but stern you will be fine.

And the guys that defy the search thing don't do it in Texas when a cop hears you don't want him or her to search your vehicle you have a kilo of dope in there somewhere. The state is a major route for dope going north.

They can destroy a lot of lives in a 10 year career. We get a very small look at a few incidents because of cell phone video or security video.
