A Day in the Life of a FE Pusher

Thats similar in our law. But every state has different laws. And not every state honors other states' permits. Just an FYI, IN honors all permits. Sp feel free to drive thru locked and loaded.

Makes for an interesting conversation with the wife on why we have to drive around Illinois to get to Wisconsin for our summer vacation lol. Maybe I can take a boat around Chicago.:twitchy:

Hopefully that will soon come to an end. But I wouldn't hold my breathe.

I heard Illinois might get a cc permit soon, but I doubt they will ever accept other states' permits.

What's the big deal about it anyway? I've have my Ky CC permit every since it became law here. I've never used it.

For what reason would you want to carry a weapon? Concealed or otherwise?

I had to work in East Chicago, IN, in an area where I would have packed. The people we were working for told us to be sure and get out before dark.

I used to work the Dixie Hwy, 18th St area of Louisille. They told to be out of there before dark too. I still wasn't going to carry a weapon there. Are you guys planning on having an old fasioned shootout in the streets someday?

I would prefer to never have to use a firearm and pray I don't. But I would rather have one and never need it, then need it and not have it.

I still don't follow that logic. If you feel the need to carry a gun then you don't need a concealed permit. You can carry it in the open. If your goal is to scare people away then why not carry it in the open?

Indiana doesn't have a concealed carry permit, we have a license to carry. You can't carry open or concealed without the license.

And I never said my goal was to scare people away, though that is the argument that those who open carry use.

It's like having E&O insurance. I don't really want it. But I'll be glad I have it if I ever need it.

Carrying a weapon is the same as having E&O??? WTF?:goofy:

Yeah, next time I feel threatened I'm gonna whip out my E&O certificate. maybe I can beat them into submission with it?:D

And I'm not buying that story. Are you telling me that all those guys with their hunting rifles, shotguns and bow and arrows hanging in the back window of their pickups have a permit for them?

You don't need a license for a long gun.

And I don't think your getting my analogy. :nah:
