All I can say is that as an insurance agent that has produced way over the $20,000 (not limited to FE) number monthly for over 10-years, MY opinion is that I would gladly use any presentation tool that helps tell the story of what the coverage will do for them. If I needed a big check, a stack of cash or a donkey to help them visualize what I'm talking about I would use it.
And just to fine tune a bit more, when I say produced I don't include it in the number unless it's issued, paid and I pay income taxes on it. That's the only numbers that are meaningful to me.
I'll throw it out to the agents who have had $50,000+ months (not limited to FE) and to get the voice of experience unless you have produced over $20,000 monthly for at least a decade, please keep your opinions quite and let the producers talk. Would you use visual aids to help present a case?
Damm. It almost seems arrogant to lay it out there like that doesn't it?
And to keep it on topic. Someone that did buy a $5,000 Settlers Bronze policy from me that I actually DID use a Big Check in the presentation several months ago called yesterday and wants to bump it up to $20,000. So my opinion is that visual aids don't reduce persistency but that's just my seat of the pants assumption.

You got that right. But for the best effect, you have to do your best Val Kilmer impression when you say "Say when. "
The old saying a picture is worth a thousand words is true .. Visuals work.. as I said earlier if they didn't there would be only radio ads and no TV. And speaking of TV ads, I guess none of those stories told about all those wonderful products are fictional. They are all real people who actually use the product as presented. There really is a family called the Yardleys that have their living room on the front lawn.
