A Positive Thread for Positive People

I've been browsing these forums for a few months now, and at first I didn't see through all the fighting and personal arguements. After posting on here myself a few times, I've had so many people reach out and help a brand new agent who has nothing to offer them, it has been very inspiring. I'd like to take a few minutes to thank those who have helped me get myself prepared to start running my own appointments.
JDEasy was the first person to reach out to me and put me in contact with some people without having anything to gain from me.
JimmyUT and mustfastpitch also reached out and tried to help me with my decision about going with Equita or going independant. JimmyUT actually gave me his number and I spoke to him on the phone and he gave me some good advice (I think). 360 dropped a line with some advice as well.
Travis Tubbs, when I finally got a hold of him, shot me real strait and didn't give me any false promises about release. He seemed very honest about the pros and cons of EFES and what its benefits and problems were.
TRK and Newby both helped me out with contracts, and even when I originally told them both I wasn't interested, they stayed on the phone with advice out of their natrual friendlieness.
Finally, I'd like to thank Reardon. He brought me on a ridealong yesterday, and has easily been the most helpful, and the most educational of any resource I've found so far. He answered all my questions, and told me honestly about how the business worked, and how I could work inside of it. He took a lot of time out of his workday to help somebody who couldn't help him out in the least. I really appreciate everything he did, and hope I can return the favor someday, not just to him, but to the whole board.
I have decided after thinking about it at length, that I am going independant. I am doing a combination of cold calling and mailers, and if anyone is interested, I will update and let everyone know how I'm doing.

We all know about the bad parts of this board, anybody else want to share their positive experiences?

Did Reardon take you along in his FE Special Hillbilly Hearse?

Like anything on the internet, most of the drama is keyboard warrior stuff. I have talked with quite a few people from the forum over the phone, and everyone has always been pretty cool.

I rode with Reardon once and he convinced me to go back to taco bell where I had a sure thing $7.50 and hour and no lead costs

lol

Nice post. All of those guys have added a lot to the knowledge base.

>>He brought me on a ridealong yesterday....
