AEP Commissions

Humana paid me the $56.00 for clients coming off the MAPD with another company and going with their stand alone PDP. Assuming they will charge back the $28.00 at some point?

I have always been paid the true up on those by Humana, albeit not many times and they have never been charged back. I thought new to MAPD and new to PDP were different.

I'm assuming this is the persons first time on a stand alone PDP? If so, I'm guessing it's accurate. I know I have always gotten the full amount when I move someone from a stand alone PDP to a MAPD for the first time. No reason the opposite wouldn't be true too. As Jimmy has stated, I too have been paid the full amount for the situation described and never been charged back.

These were all people who used to have a Med Sup and a stand alone PDP with me and then went to MAPD for a year and decided to go back to a Med Sup and a stand alone PDP. That's why I don't think they should be paying $56.00. Not a big deal either way I guess.

In that scenario I wouldn't think you'd get the full amount. Don't spend all that money in one place.

Lots of agents must have called in asking where their deposit was because Humana sent out an email saying to look for it Monday.

I didn't bother to call them. Figured it would work itself out. Besides, I'm tired of calling these carriers. I've had to call Coventry numerous times the past month on under 65 stuff. Shortest hold time has been a little over an hour. And then when I get them on the phone they are no help at all.

BCBS doesn't have much to offer here in Georgia. The main players in the metro area are Aetna, Coventry, Cigna, Humana and Piedmont WellStar. Not necessarily in that order. At least those are the main players for me. The only one I've been paid on so far is Coventry and they were my least used carrier this year as far as new business goes. ---------- Looks like Humana will start paying commissions for 1/1/15 effective dates tomorrow, January 9th.
Got an email today that it will be Monday and not today 1/9

Thanks for letting us know that senior-advisor-indiana wasn't lying to us when he said Humana sent out an email saying they would pay on Monday. I guess you've heard about his reputation...
