Agent Friendly Portals

Isn't Jd near age 60?As far as I've read Jd was with several outfits like LH and Efes from the late 2008's?So do you make any renewals from those previous firms?

I ain't made it long on earth yet but I hope to get there.;)

As for renewals, yes, I get paid twice a week from my time at NAA. On Tues I get a deposit from F&G. On Fridays I get a deposit from Shenandoah.

The companies I had at EFES I still have so I get renewals from all of them.

The ones I don't get are from LH, they started stealing my renewals once they fell below $250/mo. They call it "legal stealing" because they say the contract says that. Also AmAm. I stopped getting renewals from them when they fell below a certain dollar amount. I don't know what that threshold is but it's not very high. I was gettting renewals from them when it was around $25/mo.

I don't get any renewals from business written at P & A. Not only did they steal first year commissions, they also keep the renewals.

Other than that, would you recommend them to a new agent??:goofy::nah:

I'd wager that "brand name recognition" matters about 1% of the time selling final expense products.

I find it makes more of a difference in the head of an agent versus the mindset of the prospect.

Prospects buy you first; then they buy your product second.

Plus, there are plenty of carriers that will fill TA's product niches:

-COPD: Assurity for non-smokers, Americo for smokers
-Heavyweights: Royal Neighbors, Aetna, Settlers Silver
-10-Pays: Settlers, Lafayette
-Direct Express Cards: Security National, Trinity/Family Benefit
-Screwy Scripts: United Heritage, Trinity.

May be my part of the country, but very few have heard of Transamerica in my experience. A few more have heard of Monumental, almost all of them have heard of MoO, Gerber, and Globe. I throw MoO's name around all the time and then never write them. :D

I actually believe name recognition can be a good thing. Aetna is a real good example. Many people have Aetna health insurance. And just about everybody has heard of them. I use SNL and Aetna quite a bit and often times people will pay a little more to go with Aetna because it is a name they know.

Maybe its a Michigan thing because I've noticed the same thing.
