Agents Need to Boycott Obamacrap

Ok a person makes a choice to pay the fine. Now along comes a bus. Bill is about $150000 so far. Who pays? Was that fine the way to go?

This is an example why not to do business with the exchanges. This is part of a email from my prospect.

"After holding for more than 3.5 hours today, I finally got some answers.
Turns out they input our information incorrectly. Somebody entered us as having zero income and now they have to reprocess the entire account. She tried to blame it on you (that you probably forgot to key in the income when you entered our info in to the portal) but I kept insisting that she look in my file as I personally filled out the application and you verified I had filled it out correctly. Sure enough...it was somebody on their end."

The exchange blames it on the agent keep in mind the portal hasn't worked on Cover Oregon which is why we are submitting paper applications.

This stuff sucks, I'm losing all kind of time and money because of there ineptness and I am getting blamed for there mistakes. I am trying to have my clients call to see how bad it is!

Number9, your soon-to-be client is both patient (3.5 hours on hold!) and obviously, intelligent.

Advising applicants who encounter troubles to call the Marketplace staff is a wise strategy in many cases.

I've been working with a husband/wife applicant who have Obama family pictures framed and sitting on several tables. They thought I had "pushed a wrong button" when the Subsidy determination came back lower than they wanted. I called the Marketplace. After 20 minutes of talking to a less than eloquent (to word it diplomatically) employee via speakerphone, they gave-in and accepted the $536 @ month subsidy, even though it was $12 less than what their KAISER research indicated it should be.

On the bright side, it's probably good for the soul to be exposed to radically different demographic groups. I've been spoiled by working with business owners who just buy what I advise them to buy.

They pay the fine because they have very little net worth. They do just like they would have before Obamacare. They filed bankruptcy and walk away.

Cornelius,

Same thing would happen that happens today. They treat the penalty-payer, stabilize him, and then kick him out once stable because he can't pay. They chase him for the payment, he doesn't pay. They can't do much, because he has no real assets. Hospital eats the charge. His non-existent credit it tarnished for another few years until it's expunged.

So, yea, better paying the penalty. We both know, however, this dude isn't paying his taxes, his penalty, or his bills. He's sliding through the system mooching as much as he can, because he can, and there's not much anyone can do about it.

What could you do? Arrest the guy and give him free healthcare, room, board, heat, and cable tv on taxpayer dollars? Sue someone with no bank account or assets? Dock his off-the-books pay?

You cannot change human natural. Jesus said, "the poor you have with you ALWAYS". I saw a couple take a large amount of Christmas bonus money from both of their jobs and buy a big screen TV when those TVs costs hundreds of dollars. By January they were asking our church for help to keep from having the natural gas shut off. Go figure!

I used to work retail sales, car stereos specifically. A few times a week, someone would make a big purchase, remember they have rent/drugs/food/insurance/loans/etc. to pay for, and then try to return it.

It's all installed product, so they're stuck with it. Not about to eat hours of labor, credit card fees both ways, and spend our time and shipping costs mailing your used product back to the manufacturer for credit. It's just strange how often it happens.

Knowing this, I wonder how many people will try and return their Obamacare?
