Americo Advantages?

Guys what are currently Americos underwriting and agent advantages? What situations are they great for? Thx in advance guys!

There is none

Their UP1 is a graded product with preferred rates.. write Americo and hope your client doesn't die in 2 years

Americo has no intentions of paying any claim within 2 years

You can thank me later

I don't want anyone to die in the 2yr period, can't imagine any comapany isn't doing there due diligence including Americo at that point.

Big difference in doing due diligence and simply refusing to pay.

No company will tell you the percentage of contestable claims they pay. But I would wager that Americo is not over 10%. And I'm not a gambler.

How many of us really think someone is going to die in the next two years as we're writing their application? I do know that they paid out my wife's $100,000 term policy a year and a half into the policy after she died of breast cancer.

Sorry for your loss, but it's apples to oranges comparison.

Our product is SI, so no dr records or labs. Very low opportunity that someone gets denied after contestability if fully UW.

A claims rep at Americo told me they deny the FU just as often as SI. She laughingly called it the "50-50 gamble". I hadn't been in FE long when I had that conversation with them. I was shocked at that and told her that. I said I had come from the FU world and had never been concerned about that stuff.

She said they could "always find a specialist or something that the applicant forgot to mention".

Wife's policy wasn't fully underwritten. Was a saliva specimen I had her do which only checks for nicotine, HIV, and cocaine. Price was much better than the mortgage series without having to do a blood/urine/paramed which she didn't care to do.
