Any Home Service/Debit Agents Out There ?

I did a short stay back in the 80's with United Ins of Am. Hated every minute.

Staff manager looked "for hours" for a dollar and change mistake. I said Man just let me pay it. No way, he looked until he found the mistake.

I had left Bankers Life and upon the advice of another agent gave the debit a try, I lasted less than six months.

Best wishes to you guys.

Are you writing pc business on the debit, too? Do you have companies that allow collections? I'm happy that we can do the contents policy now. I'm PC licensed, but I don't think I'd have time to really focus on that. But back in my Independent Life days (before American General took over) we sold dwelling fire & nonstandard auto on the debit.

I have and will sell p/c on the debit but I've gotten where I tend not too because I lose focus on what I make the most on, but if it will push someone else out of the house, mainly union national. The companies don't know I collect I just post the payments on the computer they probably think they come by my office and pay, I'm hoping that independent fire will open up in Mississippi

Just got appointed with Independent Fire

You're telling me.....i've been looking for a little while now.

Independent Fire is available in Texas if you're contracted with the home service division of Liberty Bankers. PM me with your contact info & I'll get you connected with the right people. (BTW, I'm not a recruiter, just an agent trying to be helpful. :) )

Yes, I'm a debit guy through and through, hence the name "home service". Tried it again for a short time this year: the lapse and arrears got to me.

Finally got tired of chasing customers and being micromanaged. Had to 500 lapse months in a row to overcome last year then another 500 month 2 months later. Trying to explain to district manager why I would not go into a house and rewrite paid ups after they were on the arrears/lapse coaster for 3 yrs straight was fun. Also with several huge family groups with the payors well into their 80's was a little scary too. Now if I have a death lapse after 20 ys all I am doing is covering the renewal of 4 dollars not 234.65 a month.

Me too. I've had a lot of lapse, lately. I re-instated some but not enough. My manager was not too good, to say the least. Micromanagement in a proper way would have been actually a good thing with this operation: it was more like the blind leading the blind.
