Did I miss any of the MLM talking points?
Consumer: "what if I have a large bill"
Agent: "It's negotiated down to next to nothing. We have a client (fake) who had a $35,000 bill taken down to $500!"

For part of this reason, hospital discounts are illegal in MD.
You know what's funny is that if presented honestly some of the benefits could be useful. I would pay for a telephone doc ie the ability to call and speak to a DR or PA explain the issue and have a rx offered saving me some time and maybe a little bit of money...I have seen some of these limited benefit plans offer something like that but no plan in Maine offers it couple it with a small accidental policy and it could have some value to a family....But no these programs would pitch it like it was full coverage and anything not covered would be negotiated away.
...continued:
Agent: "This is actually better than insurance."
Customer: "how so."
Agent: "Our rates never go up and you can't be excluded. With regular insurance, if you get sick they'll cancel your policy or triple your rates."
