And btw, we are ruled by laws, too. We have to get our Ads approved.
And all those other savings you guys are quoting are EXTRA discounts you receive.
And HD has incorporated them into their program, too, I believe through AWIS.

I asked our legal dept. and he said that it's unlawful to claim that our programs are INSURANCE.
But it's the right of any biz to say they are better.
We have a stamp on our ads that say THIS IS NOT INSURANCE.

Most claims xs of $50k you end up with over half incurred after you are discharged from the hospital. Can't tell you how many times I have had folks say "I just need hospital coverage in case I have an accident".

And "I don't need Rx coverage. I can just take a generic if I need to".

Sort of. If you're going to say that a discount plan is better than insurance when it clearly offers less financial protection against major medical expenses, your legal department may need to review some case law regarding discount plans. Hell, even fair trade practices. You may be able to win an argument about it having a better price or even being a better solution for folks that can't afford health insurance, but to say it's better than health insurance likely is inviting some very legitimate legal action.

And in our case, they show a comparison between a usual dental plan and the discounts you receive with our program.
All of my members have purchased our dental plan for the reason that they find it better than any dental plan that they have checked out.
