Anyone Work for Ameri-life?

do you know anyone that has had experience with this company?

I have experience with them. To say they are sleazy would be a compliment. For the insurance companies that pay commissions direct, Amerilife "shorted" my commissions by substituting a lower commission schedule than the one used to get me to submit contracts to them (this gives Amerilife a bigger override, and I didn't discover what they did until 3 months later when the commissions start coming in and they are lower than expected). For the insurance companies that pay through the MGA, Amerilife simply kept the money and never paid me one cent (this happened with Community Care Rx plans for the 2007 plan year, and likewise for the ones that renewed in 2008).

I learned the hard way. Hopefully, you will learn the smart way (from observing the 100% negative feedback on this forum). Working with Amerilife is the same as no work at all -- either way I don't get paid.

Finally, be careful, do a google on any marketing organization you run across, as Amerilife has a great number of aliases and affiliated organizations (the Amerilife people set up a bunch of separate LLC's, so if/when they finally get sued or have a federal indictment, it doesn't take down the whole organization) and it even has offices in other cities. I suppose another reason that Amerilife uses the aliases and LLC's is because they know most agents are on to their scams. For example, Precision Senior Marketing in Dallas TX is affiliated with Amerilife. So is Midwestern Marketing in Creighton, Nebraska. So you must do your homework before signing up with a marketer, or you put yourself at risk.
(In example, Sears and K-Mart are also separate companies, technically, but if you do a little checking, you find that they are very much affiliated with one another -- which is why you see Craftsman tools in K-mart these days. And don't think that affiliation with a scumbag won't rub off. The other day, I took a "lifetime warranty" Craftsman tool into Sears and was told that I was out of luck, because there had been a design change since I purchased my torque wrench, so they would neither fix nor replace my now broken torque wrench. Seems like the treatment one might expect at a K-mart. AFFILLIATION MATTERS)

i cant understand why people think it is ok to put a company down. i bet when the company was paying comission you did not think twice about cashing the check that was written to you or when a bonus was paid out "did you think about giving it back".

You are making one HUGE assumption that Amerilife actually pays the commissions to the agent who produced the business. The absolute fact is that AMERILIFE KEEPS THE COMMISSION, all of the commission, 100% of the commission. Amerilife paid me absolutely nothing for sales I made of Community Care Rx plans back in 2006 for the 2007 plan year. My numerous demands for payment have simply been ignored. And yes, the policies I sold did stick, and several of the people I sold to even renewed for calendar year 2008. And I never saw one penny. No advances, no "as earned", no nothing. Of course, when I finally realized the thieves weren't going to pay me my commission, I stopped selling for them. But Amerilife found another way to screw me after that: they refused to "release" my contract, so that I couldn't contract through an honest MGA who will pay what is due. (Most MGA's get a 12 to 24 month protection after an agent contract is canceled (by either party) to prevent agents they recruited from hopping to another MGA, but the the original MGA can "release" the agent if if wants to. Of course, the dictatorial style of Amerilife means they would neither pay me nor release me.)

If you contract with Amerilife, knowing what I (and many others) have just told you here on this post, you are a certifiable ***.

nothing good to say about Amerilife except that they do not do what they promise! I hold a IMO contract with a broker house and I had no idea that Ameri life was their upline. They didn't know their contract so I am unable to be paid on any personal production so Ameri life told me what I needed to do to be paid. I jumped threw all their hurdles and they still screwed me! I asked for my release and little did I know that they will NEVER release me or my AGENTS! The broker that contracted me with Universal Health Care whose upline is Ameri life will release me but not Ameri life....They are crooks! BEWARE of AMERI LIFE!!!

Do any of you that did not get paid realize that you had to be completely ready to sell that particular product? Meaning was your CE up-to-date, were you contracted and appointed with the carrier, if the carrier had product specific training that is required before the 1st sale???

Amerilife pays commissions upfront and then reconciles later. If amerilife paid your commission and it turns up say that your appointment date was after the sig date on the app then Amerilife is going to want their money back.

Those that want to succeed will and those that are lackadaisical will fall behind and eat beans while others are having their steak and lobster too.

If you send your contact at Amerilife (they are all girls) A starbucks giftcard they will hook you up with decent leads.

Seriously You Have To Ask! Just Run Through The Posts..you Can Go Back Years And Make Your Own Conclusions. Right Now They Have About 31 Offices With Less Than 10 Holding Their Own. So Many Have Left, The Irs Can't Keep Count...watch Out When You Leave And Their "creative Accounting" Starts.......been There.

Save Yourself And Run Run Run......:d

1) Amerilife does NOT pay commissions up front. In fact, Amerilife never pays commissions.

2) The precise date of appointment (in most states) is not an issue. The contract controls, not the appointment date. In the few states that require appointment before making a sale, Amerilife is breaking the law if the accept the application from a non-appointed agent. Either way, Amerilife's refusal to pay commissions on issued business represents willful criminal activity of some sort (theft by deception or benefitting from illegal sales activity).

3) Of course we realize the rules/laws out there. In most states, CE has to be completed just to have an active license. so your phoney protests about CE are, well, phoney.

4) Likewise, agents recognize that a few (certainly not most) companies require "company" training, yet it is incumbent upon the company to give the agent specific notice of such (there is no other way an agent could know).

5) Only a handful of states require appointment before the first sale. Some states, like Indiana, don't even do appointments.

6) If the agent wasn't contracted at all, the company either (a) should reject the application, or (b) accept the application and pay the agent -- after all, the company KNOWS that the agent doesn't have a contract in place. duh

You are obviously an inside hack for Amerilife, attempting to deflect the fact that Amerilife stole my money. (So yes, Amerilife management does eat steak and lobster; thieves generally do have lots of extra cash on hand.)
