Anyone Work for Ameri-life?

They do not grant releases so you are locked in for life! Theybalso do NOT pay overrides on personal business and they tell you that AFTER your contracted and your agents are contracted so they have control over your whe team. When you have ha enough and start rattling cages they will look for any reason to term you so you are screwed all the way around. But that's ok...lesson learned and I have learned to trust no one and ask LOTS of questions before contracting!

I've spoken with Anthony. If they want a release, they can liely get it.

But not if they are going to one of the people who are looking to steal Frank's clients. At least one of them is on a 2 month vacation from this site.

Asking questions is good. The only problem is you can't predict the future. I've been working with an IMO for a little over a year with no affiliation with Ameri-life. I was talking to my rep and he just happened to drop in the wonderful news about a "merger" his words and access to new carriers.

Ameri-life bought them as well. I have never really had an issue because I do mainly Annuity business and almost no one releases agents and I've always figured I need to go 6 months of no production with a carrier and I have always spread out my contracting. The downside is I might miss IMO trips but if I end up having a problem I am only going to lose 1 or 2 contracts for a while. I also use a test when being recruited by a new IMO. I ask them for thier list of companies and choose a company I could care less about and contract with that carrier first. More times than not once the contract is signed the IMO doesn't seem to know I exist anymre which is fine the only really good thing about IMOs is a quick stop to compare different riders contracts as they have a more up to date spreadsheet than I will have but even then my recommendations have more than just the basic spreadsheet in them.

My latest is say a client is comparing a certain carrier against something I am recommending. I will tell them its great that the rates are a little different but let me ask you this. Have you thought about how difficult it might be to fully surrender your policy and move it somewhere else. I'm an agent for some companies and even the agent site doesn't have a full surrender form only partial surrender forms.

Think about that for a second.

If you think I'm defending Amerilife then you're an ***.

I only point out what Anthony told me and offered my help to those who have a problem.

Jumping to conclusions. MORONIC.

I was promised a release upon request by Frank. His word was good enough for me and Anthony has told me he would honor that. Agents need to learn to get a pre-nup to avoid this problem.

I can attest to the FACT that Amerilife is difficult to get a release from. Organizations like their's give our industry a bad name. They treat agents poorly and cheat them out of commissions.

Cheat out of commissions is a strong statement...You didn't by chance assign your commissions did you? Amerlife owns and is buying IMOs/FMOs so you may end up dealing with them. Getting a release is a well known issue. But please tell me how you can be cheated out of commissions if you do NOT assign your commissions. My question assumes the carrier doesn't pork you I am asking about being screwed by an FMO.
