Anyone Work for Ameri-life?

If you have a carrier-direct contract for comp, how can "cheat you out of commissions"?

That's part of their deception. They trick agents into thinking they will be paid directly from the carrier, but they have the agent assign commissions to Amerilife.

Unless you have specifically and contractually assigned commissions, it's not an issue. Take your four posts, and go away.

Scroll back up to the original thread. The question was asked about sharing good or bad experiences. Those were my experiences. All of that plays into the firms reputation. So I shared it. I'm sure the person who started the thread will take that into consideration as to whether or not to do business with them. My opinion is just as relevant as everyone else's.

I'm sure they are, but who's fault is it if you didn't read and/or understand the contract you were signing?

Mine, 100%. Lesson learned. And whenever I'm asked, I'll share my experience with the company that engaged in that type of business practice in the hopes of preventing another agent from going through it as well.

You'll share with them what? You were too stupid to read and understand what you were signing?

I'll share my story with the hope of steering them to work with another organization. And they won't have to take my word for it. I know others that this has happened to as well. Maybe I would refer them to this thread. If you were a new agent considering signing up with Amerilife and you read this thread, would you still sign up? I doubt it. Mission Accomplished!

Your story? Too dumb to read what you were signing and agreeing to?

I don't doubt for a minute that there are others that are too dumb to actually read what they are agreeing to. It proves what?

If I were a new agent, I would suggest reading and understanding what you are signing and agreeing to.

And at the end of the day, you'd sign up with a company that made you a straight forward offer and you'd accept. They'd train you, you'd sell lots of insurance, and they'd pay you. And you'd both live happily ever after. And the company you would partner with would not be Amerilife. It would be some other ethical organization.

Yes, and hopefully learn from my mistake. If you talked with me first and you were a new agent, you'd read a contract presented to you. That organization would train you, you'd sell lots of insurance, and you'd get paid for the work you did. You'd have a mutually beneficial relationship for many years. And the company would absolutely not be Amerilife! Mission accomplished!

If you look at Amerilifes contracts they have you sign you have to look very carefully to see what your signing.

For example the Universal Health Care contracts are almost the
same except instead of saying Universal Health Care Tampa they say

Universal Health Care Senior Divison Clearwater Fla.

Unless you have the two side by side you would never notice the difference.

My rule is to never sign anything from anyone in Clearwater Fl.

They have been using the "Senior Division" trick for years mostly with Mutual of Omaha
