Is there ANYTHING out there like YIO that is in the cloud and not machine based?? We have 4 guys now and need to be able to assign leads, make a lead as a referral and give it to another person, etc... YIO is great, has all the fields ready to go, but won't allow access from anywhere to the web... Everyone has to be on the network/wireless to use/share.

Trying to customize zoho now...

Anyone try the salesforce for financial professionals?

Ran across another one I haven't heard of until now called "the4orce.net" - anyone heard of?

I really like addresstwo.com It can be customized to track commissions and referrals. Specifically built for small business and has a really nice interface. All stored in th cloud..check it out.

I want something customized for financial/insurance - I can customize zoho if I have to customize.

Sugar has to be installed on a server correct? Don't want that headache.

No. You can install it on your local computer (PC, Mac, or Linux) using their "stack installers."

However, it was designed to be on a web server so you can "hit" it anywhere in the world that you can get an internet connection.

What I find interesting is that three or four years ago (and since) I've advocated that people take a look at SugarCRM (the free version) as a possible solution... and for several years I was beaten to a pulp by agents here saying it was too hard to install and took to much of a learning curve and that if put on a web-server it was not safe.

Fast-forward those years and I'm amazed at how many people are finally ignoring the "Luddites" and giving it a try.... and to learn how many like it (for the price, if nothing else.)

Same goes with vTiger (which is a fork of SugarCRM.)

And if you wait a few weeks there is a guy on this forum who has customized Sugar to work well with both a P&C as well as a Life agency. I've seen it and it is quite good.

Sugar out of the box works for my tiny two-person office, but if you want something that is more insurance oriented, this guy has it... or will very soon. I don't know what he will charge but it will be worth a look for those seeking this kind of product.

You can try Sugar for a few days on their site:

YMMV.

Don't know vTiger

It's really easy to install, they both are. I'll do it for $99 and that's too much. You could probably throw up an add on CL and get someone to do it for half that.

Wanted to update you and make a recommendation...

I finally after prodding by Radiusbob went through an online demo and was blown away.. Man they've got their stuff together. I can't think of anything their system won't do right out of the gate. Very very affordable and just has all the things you'd want to do built in...

Take a test drive you won't be sorry.

Several discounts out there for them also.
