i could not do the volume of business that i need to do without a good appointment setter. I highly recommend... BUT not until you have a few months of running 20+ leads per week yourself

Thanks for the feedback. Did you find and train your appointment setter on your own? What kind of volume are you running?

I picked up mine on E-Lance.

Pay $5 and post a job for an appointment setter paying $10 an hour and you'll get a dozen or so responses.

Most likely, you'll have to train them on how to appointment-set effectively, and results are better if you've called for appointments at one point in the past.

Are your appointments from cold calling? My area is so rural I could not get enough numbers to have a steady flow with cold calls. Setting appts from response cards is the only choice for me. I can do pretty well now on that but if I thought I could get a good cold call setter I would drive much farther for appts.

Appointment setters are great but it gets expensive and if you aren't closing sales it becomes unaffordable.

No. There are so many variables to setting appointments that I don't know if I could hang it on just one thing like gender.

The "key" if anything is just like prospecting -- you have to make a lot of calls to set a lot of appointments.

Rearden, did you go the route of an appointment setter because you werent good on the phone? Or was it so you can be on the road selling more?...mixture of both?

Did you see your production go up with the use of an appointment setter?
