APS and Contestability

I wrote a client with AmAm, yea I know their not too loved around here but that is where the client fit so that is where I put him. Anyway, I wrote his app up it was just a 9K face for 116/month.

AmAm did an APS on him after an approval on the PHI. I called and they said that something came up and they want to double check. I had been following the decision and then noticed that they had ordered another APS this time from his cardiologist.

I just got the email from AmAM that the policy was issued as applied for. Now, since the carrier did TWO APS's in order to determine if the client qualified; is there any wiggle room for the carrier not to pay if the insured passes within the contestability period? I would think not since they have already scoured his records from his PCP and his Specialist.

Thoughts?

They will move mountains to not pay the claim during contestability.

Exactly. They might not use this excuse, but they will find another. "Oh I am sorry, we can't pay this claim...one of the I's on the application you forgot to dot. Sorry, here are your premiums back!"

You've applied to be on Preppers haven't you? What will you list as your reason for prepping?

Just give me a Bushmaster with a .450 cartridge. One shot = dead swine. Galt will still be dressing up and preparing as I'm dragging 200 pounds of pork to the truck.
