Anybody working with with Asurea out of Roseville, CA? Seems like a west coast version of EFES. Any experience you'd like to share would be appreciated.

It doesn't appear that they are serious about FE though.

Yeah, Ive priced some term with them....but havent used them yet. Im not using them for any FE products tho. I dont know anything about a lead program they offer, if they do....didnt ask.

Was Insurance Wholesalers. Run by Brian Pope who is one of the good guys in the business. I'm contracted through them. Needed a release for one company last year and they gave it without hesitation. No complaints so I give them two thumps up but I have no idea about their training or leads.

I am contracted with them as well, and like them a lot. From what I can see, they're a good group.

I have worked for ASUREA in the IT Department for 2 1/2 years. I really enjoy working here and the people really are great. Couldn't imagine working anywhere else.

Although I'm not an agent, I have spent a lot of time working on systems for our lead department. ASUREA owns its own mailhouse and currently generates leads for mortgage protection, final expense, and more recently medicare.

I can't speak to carriers or contracts, but I can tell you that a lot of time and money has gone into the development of great lead systems. I would encourage anyone to talk with one of the guys in the wholesale department. I'm sure they would be glad to share with you our direct mail pieces, the actual return rates we generate in specific areas, and how lead pricing works. ASUREA also has a special program targeted at encouraging new people to join our industry.

ASUREA has been around for a long time (20 years as Insurance Wholesalers) and I think I can speak for all of us in operations that we know who are customer is, the agent. I'm sure there are probably other really good IMO's out there as well. I feel fortunate to work for ASUREA.

Been with them for nearly 3 years for FE.

The leads have been consistent and they also work on a PPL model which they just adjusted for the better for Producers.
They give releases if asked (no debt) with no problems.

The FE companies they use are:

Foresters
Americo
RNA
Monumental
Am Am
Am Mem
UHL
and a few others.

No complaints whatsoever. If you were not successful at EFES and/or Securus then you will not be successful here either (Stolen from JDeasy) so move on to the next one.

I've worked for Asurea for over 12 years in all capacities (as an agent for5 of them). The company is a very fair, loyal, and rewarding company that Ifeel is dedicated and passionate about its people.

We've been working with independent agents doing leads for over 23 yearsvery successfully.

In the last 15 months we've successfully launched our independent careeragency model and have 15 offices across the country and are growing fast. We are very fortunate that it is a veryexciting time for us.

Yes...I am obviously bias!

With all of that said...Rather than turning this into an all out commercial- if you want more info you are more than welcome to message me or e-mail ([email protected]) me anytime - I would behappy to get you whatever info you need.

Thanks for all who had interest in our company!

Did mortgage protection with them. Very good Imo with very good leads. Best leads I've ever worked.

Almost became an active producer with ASUREA. Even did appointment paper work. Then the guy that recruited me left the company right in the middle of paperwork. It was like a college coach that recruits you to his school and leaves when you get to campus. (which actually happened to me)

I decided to shop more for a contract. Found a good one. More of a "here is a contract the rest is up to you" type of a contract. The kind that most agent on this forum have. I didn't realize it at the time, but that's all i really needed. Asked for a release and they were very courteous in granting this. I am very thankful for that. Managers their seemed great, and truly genuine in helping you succeed. You're vested in your commissions from day 1, and paid directly by the insurance companies. These are both good things.

This all happend a little over a year ago, and I can only speak for the FE side of ASUREA. But I had some history of producing desent premium when I approached them, and they were offering 90%-100% top contract depending on the carrier. I asked if there was room to move up if production was good, and the answer was "not really" They sell the whole concept of customer service at the home office, support, training bla bla bla. You had to pay for The leads up front which I think started at mid to high $20s per lead, and worked on a sliding scale. ( the more you produced the better discount you get). They want you to make more money but they dont want to lose their margins. So they disguise it by discounting your leads. The FYC sets the rest of the contract. Places like this dont make money on your FYC, they make it on the renewals. So they would rather keep the contracts at a lower level and reduce the lead costs.

As we all know here someone doesn't deserve 40%-50% override for "support" unless your brand new to the business.

Always be skeptical of an operation that offices in a huge beautiful building (in California nonetheless), with secretaries running everywhere, and with "regional managers" all over the country working on base pay. And when you think about it, their just giving you a contract. You still work with the insurance companies directly with little problems that come up and faxing in apps. Its still just a contract. How many points are they needing to rip to pay for all that stuff?

If you have any experience at all, look for the guy who has one employee (himself) working out of his basement.
