Avoiding Replacement?/ Giving Value

I may but it would be rare that I would put someone into contestabilty for $3. Savings to them. I have done the cash out as well but I did not propose it. I also show them how the longer they keep a whole life policy the more they make per year. Now if it is a big difference like SIWL to GUL then it can be a big benefit to the client. One difference is mine would not be off a dm card. ---------- While I am no JD, I was replaced recently by one of the forum members. ;( in the first month! I have replaced other agents while still in underwriting. On fully underwritten I have not only replaced them, I did it with the same company using their exam while in underwriting for double the premium.
An agent once replaced me with the same company while still in underwriting. I talked to the company and they paid me on his ap. He got nothing. haha

Ever been able to take a proposed insured and move them from graded to level? I did that today, got him $3000 more in coverage for the same monthly investment and he will get some cv back as well, not a huge amount but a little. PHI approval on the spot.
Main reason for replacement on this was more coverage for him, not the cv, matter of fact, I only mentioned his cv as I was leaving. Oh yea, and I got him immediate coverage with level rates, had it come back as graded I would not have even considered replacement, better to do whats in their best interest, not mine.

I've done that many times. More times with that MoO ROP that they get through the mail than anything. There's a lot of healthy people on that plan and don't know it's a two year wait. I love finding those.

I've run into many graded plans two that are a year or so old that it was properly issued as graded but now enough time has passed that they no longer need to be graded and the original agent has not followed up.

I don't write any ROP business but I do write some graded. I always follow up on my graded business to see if the situation has improved.

I had a lady around two years ago that I met with and she had just met with another agent and did an app. She had no copies of anything but knew it was $25,000 of whole-life (she thought) and knew the rate. She really liked me over the other guy because he kind of gave her a creepy feeling. But his rate he quoted her was WAY low. The only way he could deliver on it was to get her approved on a GUL at Prefered plus rates.

I set him up to fail by telling her if he low-balled her at all she should not accept the policy and I would start over with a real number that she would qualify for. I did a Med Sup app with her and figured I would do the life app easier once she was rated up at the time I deliver the Med Sup policy. She was age 72 and took a few meds and was in good but not perfect health.

Dammed if she didn't get approved at the Prefered plus rate. She definitely wanted me to rewrite her but I told her but I couldn't better that deal. She kept saying he was a creep that didn't explain anything and didn't give her a good feeling. But I told her that he did a great job on covering her and I couldn't replace it.

Now two years later he shows up in our local paper. No wonder he seemed like a creep. He really was. http://www.courierpress.com/news/2013/sep/13/30pt-hed1-10-hed1-10-inches-02/

Damn!! I know that guy. I met him at a Welborn meeting about this time in 2009 when Wellcare and Coventry were leaving this area and I was looking at Welborn plans as a place to move those clients. I even referred one of those clients to him. That was for med sup and not investments so the guy didn't lose any money.

Small world.

Yep, I've already learned to keep a spreadsheet on rop and graded clients to follow up with later for annual reviews.

It's easier if you just sell them Lafayette. You will get annual reports that are also mailed to them. You call, review the report over the phone and see if they need anything.

It's turnkey!

Wino, Was this appt that resulted in replacing of policies, Bankers and Primerica from a DM? maketing process ?
I am curious why a client would request FE information, if they already have coverage?

Yes. That would be very, very rare for someone that already has insurance to send in a new lead card about insurance.

Are you kidding?

All my lead cards come back from 55 yr old NS females with no health problems who want 20k, have never had insurance, and work 40 hours a week with a checking account;)
