BACON IS FOR CLOSERS...

I've always admitted to the sweet tooth ... just search my name and donuts/

Donuts are empty sugar bombs.

I prefer tiramisu, cannoli, chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, etc. All in moderation, of course. And a Blizzard from DQ, once a week, in the summer.

Since it's 71 degrees and sunny, I may run out later for the first Blizzard of the season before the rain starts. Not that the season usually starts until May...

Cannoli's are my go-to but I am particular about them

Using honey in my coffee again. I use one cup in the morning with liquid stevia and the other with honey. However; I am now using true whipping cream rather than 1/2 and 1/2.

Anyone else out there using honey on a consistent basis? I've heard good things about it.

Not on Keto... working not on a diet plan but more of lifestyle change. Continue to work out in the gym and attempting to reduce weight while gaining lean muscle.

As to honey my wife has been singing the praises of bee pollen to me. Next on my list but its not all that tasty.

I quit being 100% keto not long after starting. Not having my daily dose of oatmeal was exacerbating some old guy difficulties, so I modified the keto to where that was my total carb intake for the day. Still sweetened with honey (and cinnamon to help balance blood sugar). I also sometimes take a spoonful of honey at bedtime when I'm having bouts of insomnia. Works miracles! I'm still avoiding sugar, especially HF corn syrup, and starchy foods. I refuse to use artificial sweeteners. I think they're mostly problematic, if not downright dangerous to long term health. Honey is the healthiest of the natural sweeteners, IMO, and does indeed have some extra health benefits. (Raw, wild, local honey is best!)

One more thing - seeing as we're talking about coronavirus in other threads - one of the best folk remedies for cold and flu is a tablespoon of raw honey with a tablespoon of Mrs. Braggs Apple cider vinegar in hot water, drunk as a toddy.

They called it Kung Flu Fighting ...
