Bankers Life and Casualty?

Re: Bankers Life and Casualty not participating in crossover?

I work for BLC and in my state we have the cheapest med sup by 30 bucks a month for a T-65. I cant talk for other states but the rates here are beyond competitive.
What state are you in that you are $30 cheaper and on what plan?

Re: Bankers Life and Casualty not participating in crossover?

Leave? You kidding me making way too much to leave anytime soon. Even if i did i hope that i left enough of an impression on my clients where they would follow me. Plus after 5 years my renewals are vested so no matter what they cant stop giving them to me.

You better read you paper work saying that you are vested in 5 yrs.... You are vested in 7 yrs on your first 2 yrs of renewals....

Just think about that for a sec... Oh wait!! The first 2 yrs will be service fees at that point and that means you get $0.00.

Re: Bankers Life and Casuality

It just dawned on me that with the advent of the internet (some of you are too young to remember the days without it) and the almost instant access we have to information it should make it harder and harder for the companies and FMO's to recruit if they aren't good for the agent. I wouldn't even think about going to work with anyone till I saw what the general consensus was about them either here or at RR or FPI or TGP, etc. You get the drift. Anyone who would search and read should be able to find out that Bankers or AFLAC or American Income may not be the best place to work. What do you think over time is that making harder for outfits like Bankers to recruit or is the ability to saturate the job search sites with ads making it easier?

Work for yourself. You can get 100% commissions and build your own downline.

Rabbi,

How does one go about building one's own agency, and avoiding the pitfalls of captive agents. I just got my Life and Health license in Wisconsin, and want to open an office in town, but don't know how to get started. Any advice?

Welcome to the mysterious world of insurance.

L & H agents work from home. There is a lot of reading on this subject on this forum. Work for Blue Cross for a few months to learn and then go off on your own.

Good luck
