I think you’ll see that Plan D will be the middle road version, like plan G is now, in a few years. Problem is that G is still a better plan right now, cost wise, and if you’re willing to accept excess charges and part B deductible they can save quite a bit w/ N.
 
This seems like a great business decision on their part. File for relatively low rates with the states (possibly even the lowest in many areas for Plan D), train up their agents in their typical sales fashion and set em' lose. I hate to say it but they just might do pretty well with this...
 
I've always been surprised that carriers in Missouri and other states that have a similar anniversary rule to switch GI don't offer plan D since most people don't have it they can underwrite a higher percentage of their applicants.
