Best Cell Phone for Agents and Why?

G1 is not getting enough love in this thread. It really gives the I-phone a run for the money.

In addition to the large screen, it has a very nice keyboard underneath.

1 gig memory is standard, upgrade is to 3 gig.

Like Chuck, I use the google calendar. Google apps also work on the G1. For my e-mail accounts, I use IMAP, so I can get them on my phone.

Not only can you synch it with your PC, you can charge it by plugging the usb cord into your computer.

As for battery life, the first few charges run dry quickly, but it seems to improve after a week or two of charging.

If I ever move to Mac, then I'll go with the I-phone.

Downside potential: Using T-mobile. Which carrier has the best coverage in your area is a huge consideration.

Use whatever Metro PCS has. If you work locally it is the best for listening to conference calls and long distance.

Metro PCS is ****, they only work in certain places. Who only uses their cell phone locally 24/7? What are you gonna do on vacation?

The most important factor will always be, coverage. If it don't work where you work and play, its not the right choice. I could still get by with a Motorola Startac Flip Phone and be happy as long as it got reception.

I run a Motorola Q9M Windows Mobile phone. I've had great luck with it...Verizon coverage has been great, and I can download, open and edit Office documents which I know a lot of other phones can't. I love my Apple stuff, but still for business, I can't handle the iPhone's touch screen for typing and I need something to open and edit office docs.

What are all you guys selling that you need to edit docs on a phone? What is so urgent you cant wait to do it on a full size keyboard. Your eyes must be better than mine (I'm kinda old) and your fingers must be tiny.

If I'm missing biz opportunities because I don't do docs on my phone, please let me know. I have the technology, just don't see the need. I suppose most of you guys text message and Tweet too ? ;)

One that automatically dials qualified people with assloads of cash and sets 4 appointments a day all before 3 pm. 5 days a week.

Make mine do 6 days a week and before 1 pm.

I want the clients just to send me a blank check and let me decide what is best for them. Find me those kinds of clients and make a phone that will do it.

Also, make a cell phone that the battery last for 24 hours straight also.
