Hi everybody,
I know that I am brand new here, but let me give you my thoughts what FE companies to contract with...
One of the factors that I base my decision as to who I want to contract with, is the questions on the application. Every app, except for some GI applications, will ask questions concerning the same diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, heart attack, stroke, and hypertension. But, they don't always ask them the same way......
Take diabetes for an example:
Did the applicant contract diabetes before age 40?
Is their diabetes under control with either medication or diet?
Do they take insulin to control their diabetes?
Did they contract diabetes within the last 24 months?
Your client may have to answer yes to some of these questions, but probably not all of them.....
If you pay attention to how your different companies ask questions concerning different diseases, sometimes you can find a situation where your client can answer "NO" to certain health questions and avoid being forced to take either a modified or graded policy.
When I first got into selling FE insurance, I walked away from a lot of sales because I didn't pay attention to how different companies asked their health questions. Now whenever I go into a client's house, I have at least three different options for every major disease you have to deal with....
Just an opinion...
