Best Final Expense Company For Newbie?

New Agents need to ask one or two simple questions to all the Na Sayers. Show me your 1099 and your monthly annual premium. If they want show you either of the two your answer is simple.

Listen to nobody's are listen to the best. As for as a contract with Sr Life the IMO can vest anyone from day one and at what ever renewal amount monthly or yearly as they see fit.

Maybe the reason the Na Sayers try to make you believe different is the only contract they would qualify for is entry level which is based on results. Low results equals low compensation.

Senior Life gave me a 100% contract, and I had ZERO final Expense experience...Again, it's all about the manager you get underneath. They determine what will be offer...Now if you only ask for 50%, most managers will probably only give you 50%

MGA.....I have no idea what you are saying here.

Also, what the heck is a Na Sayer?

Senior Life or Lincoln Heritage are your two best choices. High first year commission. Lifetime renewals. Vested day one. High quality leads. Health insurance package for agents and most of all a proven system and track record. Please ask the marketing agencies who are discouraging you from either of Sr Life or Lincoln Heritage what their track record is. You will find out quickly the facts from hot air.

I have to wonder is there really such a thing as a high quality lead. I have worked LH leads which clearly state Funeral Advantage, Final Expense Life Insurance, and that an agent will be contacting the prospect and still invariably some think they are applying for something for free. I have also worked generic leads and have had success. I personally think that "high quality leads" is a load of crap. I am not knocking LH or SL I am just knocking the use "high quality" and leads in the same sentence.

I have also considered AGLA

Forever, if you don't have money to burn and play with to purchase leads (anywhere from $500-$600 per week to start) stay out of the money pit. LH will finance lead cost for you (and can work in your favor) but you better come out swinging and grind through every lead like your next meal depends upon it and pay as you go. Remember, in the end you owe them for every lead you take which could take you to the point of owing thousands before you know it.

I know nothing about Senior Life.

I can tell you from my perspective that I have talked to more than a handful of agents that are struggling, and they are working every day that they can, running appointments and door knocking. Jdeasy put it right by stating this is a simple business but not easy.

Going indy and trying to drop your own mail and get the highest contracts comes at a price. Up front costs that if you don't have the money or credit will eat you alive. Personally, I wish I could have gotten on a lead program whereby my lead costs were reduced according to my production but I was not so lucky. If you don't need any training I would talk to three people and three people only:

What I would rather see is your:

-1040
-Chargeback and lead costs if they are being financed by the
IMO, if not they should be on your 1040
-How many hours per week do you work
-Persistency is interesting but not a deal killer for me

Ron, well said - these three people will give you the facts both good and bad. I have investigated, read and talked (by phone) with a number of people on the forum who have been kind enough to give me the benefit of their experience.

I was recruited initially by LH and SL, who after an initial e-mail never followed through again. I guess I wasn't green or stupid enough to fall for their recruiting crap. The same goes for PHR when I told them I was evaluating lead system, compensation, and residuals. Watch the video to see how easy it is to make money- but they did not take into account lead costs.

Take your time, do the research and find people that can give you honest unbiased direction. Make sure you can get a release if it doesn't work out- that needs to be discussed upfront and gotten in writing.

For those of you that gave me advice and direction THANK YOU

Dear ColoradoSeniorMarket
I agree with your point of an upfront release agreement from the IMO.
I do not know any of the three individuals that you refer to as unbiased direction but I would like to add if it is truly unbiased direction make sure you get the exact same contract as they have or the same as the IMO that is recruiting you has. Then you will have TRUE UNBIASED direction.

I negotiated and started at the levels I thought I deserved based on past production levels. I would be in hog-heaven if I sold as much as JD.

In three to four months you will get to where you can sale as much as anyone. Work hard. Stay focused. Stay positive and Believe. You will be amazed what you can earn if you follow these simple steps. The long term renewals are what I love. I can say that Sr Life has an awesome ten year payout and from the 11 th year on it is vested for life with a great renewal rate.
No matter what company you choose you can be a success. It's more about what you do with the opportunity than what company you partner with. Most all the fe companies are good today. Good Luck

Thanks for the pep talk, sincerely. I've been the the biz for about 15 years in various capacities (8 in sales). I left because I kept moving from state to state and didn't want to start building a business from the ground up again. Reentering again because I like the market, good with people this age, and prime hunting for LH and SL contracts.
