Best Final Expense Company For Newbie?

nfl72 - thank you for such sage advice. But, I will analyze a pay plan before contracting with an FMO, MGA or GA; I have worked both as a captive and independent broker and unknowingly stepped in some pretty large potholes along the way. I have learned by those mistakes and do the due diligence on the front end before making them again.

Based on your comment comparing PHR with LH you obviously have quite a bit of learning to do. I have worked with PHR for over 2 years and they have been straight with me from day one. They are nothing like LH and by insinuating that you are way off base. They also very clearly state what their leads cost.

I have been in sales for over 35 years and most of the time the guys who want to over analyize everything are at the bottom of the sales board. They would be better served by watching the trainning videos on the PHR web site, or the EFES or Securus web sites for that matter.

I did not want to insinuate that PHR was like LH. PHR did state the rates for their leads, so did Securus and EFES but I do look at costs versus range of companies, ongoing costs versus commission, and more importantly FMO support.

If I have a problem that needs to be addressed, I prefer to talk to a life person on the phone and not get mixed up in the phone queue or leave a message with the operator who is supposed to direct calls when the queue does not cover your problem. The FMO is paid for by their overrides for service and support to their contracted agents. When I don't get the basic level of service from them, as far as I am concerned they are not earning their keep.

As far as PHR is concerned John sent me a private e-mail to address the issues with the agent recruiting developing his downline.

As for sales, I don't want to get into a pissing contest with you; I have been in insurance sales and met the goals I wanted to reach. I have also worked the administrative side in the home office and a large brokerage agency: I understand both sides of the fence.

I made so major mistakes in the past and want to do my due diligence before beginning a long term relationship with any organization. It is a matter of fit. I am happy you found yours and I finally found mine.

Can everyone stop arguing about ways of evaluating companies and answer what every newbie reading this thread actually wants to know the answer to? No one really answered the original question. What is the best FE expense company for a newbie, and for that matter, for an experienced agent?

That question cannot be answered because there is nos uch thing as the "best" for anyone in particular. Just as there is no best company to put your clients with as a blanket statement.

This week I wrote RNA, Americo, Monumental and AmCon. Last week I wrote all of those plus AmAm and Foresters. Each time it was the best for that situation.

So, who has the "best" pizza out there?:D

Why are you leaving off the good stuff?

Good is relative....or is the real question "are relatives good"? Depends on if they like pizza or not, me thinks. It's not that mushrooms taste bad....it's that they sit there and stare at you while you're trying to eat them.

Umm....well, anyway.

:goofy:
