Why don't people just take their own pics and use them?

why? what would be the use if u just needs the pics for header image/call to action buttons, images for posts....etc?

Im not just talking about that. But on a lot of peoples websites, they use stock pics instead of just pics they could have taken.

I guess if you want some nice professional photos it's cheaper to use stock photos. Unless your a professional photographer and have access to models, sets, equipment for cheap.

These days it is very easy to make most of your own pics.

My sister does it all day long. I bet she has 100,000 pics saved.

I like istock as well as shutterstock. The quality of these photos are great, but you do pay for it.

With istock, you pay a fee per photo. The rights to pics I have purchased for my website cost about $2 each.
