Buying Part A & Part B

Any experience with clients who don't have enough work credits to get Part A as an entitlement? This is an American citizen turning 65 but short on work credits that I'm working with. He's got the money and is happy to buy Part A & Part B. What's the process? Do I just enroll them in Part A/B and wait to see what kind of bill CMS sends them? Thanks for any insight.

In 2024, Medicare Part A costs either $278 or $505 per month, depending on your work history:
  • $278
For individuals who have worked and paid Medicare taxes for at least 30 quarters, or who are married to someone who has
  • $505
For certain uninsured individuals, those with less than 30 quarters of coverage, or those with disabilities who have exhausted other entitlement
