California Dreamin

What I've seen is successful insurance agents did some hard-core sales jobs before this. I can pick up the phone and telemarket because I used to work for Dial America selling credit cards. Talk about an ass kicking. True with what JR posted, something is only great if someone else was worse.

This is why coming out of the salaried corporate world is near guaranteed failure in this biz. Everything they do sucks compared to their old job. After 14 years in sales, this is by far the easiest sales job I've ever had.

But I get to compare this to driving 75 minutes, sitting down with a client who wants their kitchen remodeled, put on a 1 hour presentation, handle another 30 minutes of objections, spend the next 45 minutes picking out colors and then finding out they can't get financed.
