"Canned" Presentation or Not

Some people are visual learners some need to hear it. Some need both. There's a reason high level sales typically includes some type of presentation material.

Yeah, but high level sales are not usually the seniors we deal with, so.......

No, no I don't. Not unless I'm trying to illustrate something on the fly and I use my legal pad.

Look, if I can't explain it good enough for them to form their own pictures in their head then I'm just not doing a good job of simplifying the issue. I don't need the 3 reasons written down for them. I can say them slowly and clearly enough to be understood. I don't need to show them some illustration of how much a funeral costs. Trust me, they already know about how much it is. Etc, etc, etc.

I'm pretty new at this, but you're going to wing it with a yellow pad? Like I said, I'm pretty new at this FE game - and what you're saying does not ring true to life, at all, to what my limited experience has shown me.

Brian's the Sales Manager of the year at NASB and his agents all use his presentation with no props. Instead of showing a sheet listing the guarantees they simply explain the difference between term and whole life. Lots of ways to sell a lil burial plan.

Lots of agents work from a legal pad... Many have a script and use it so thoroughly that when they leave a home, you could compare what was written on the pad from that interview with their previous interviews and they would be almost identical

I have heard those NASB guys are real good

I use the pad for two purposes

1- to remember (have a memory like a strainer)
2- write down specifics (quotes, notes) that I want the client to not only hear but see

You can improve comprehension even more if you can figure out how to engage tactilely, but I'm afraid some if my clients would take that the wrong way!

You mean like slapping them when you get charge backs! :realmad:
