Changes from 2015 to 2016... Rules, Premiums, Plans, Exchanges, Etc.

For your enjoyment. Supposedly a verbal brawl at some point, post here if you find at what "minute" in the video it starts. Haven't watched it yet.

The State of Competition in the Health Care Marketplace: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

"A rancorous meeting with a shouting match between two house members.."

OMG, I started reading the article and see Hank Johnson was involved in the argument. This is most likely going to be good. He's the guy who thought Guam might tip over. Anyone who follows politics knows he beat out Cynthia McKinney. Most would view that as a good thing because she's a nut job. Well, he's as big of a nut job if not more than Cynthia McKinney. That's one whack district here in Georgia.

Right around the 1 hour and 17 minute mark Johnson is asking the witness (a Dr. Gotleib) question regarding the rate at which premiums have grown since the passage of ACA. Johnson claims that the rate at which premiums have grown has gone down and asks if the witness agrees. Dr. Gotleib says he doesn't agree and then Johnson says well I guess you refuse to answer my question (wait, what?). I was under the impression that when someone asks whether or not you agree with something and you say "yes I agree or no I don't agree" then that is a proper answer.

At that point the Chairman cuts off Johnson and says he's going to allow the witness 30 seconds to respond and they bicker back and forth about whose time it is. Not much of an argument At least not in that section.

Hey everyone..The Administration has finally realized that Agents are vital to the success of ObamaCare. We will soon have a hotline directly to the top!

""The Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight will launch a direct hotline for brokers to answer "general" agent questions and issues related to the federally-facilitated marketplace.

The broker hotline is expected to launch ahead of open enrollment for plan year 2016, which begins November 1, but no specific date has been announced. The hotline will be "a person to help agents and brokers answer some general questions," CCIIO has told B. Ronnell Nolan, president and CEO of the lobbying group Health Agents for America.

"They just said general [questions]. I'm not sure what that means," Nolan says.

CCIIO did not return a request for comment as of press time.""

Having a line open to handle 'General Questions' and not enrollment-specific issues is worthless, how long will it take them to realize this?

took them 3 years to get the agent line... will take another 3 to figure out its worthless..... they got the line so they can say look!!!! we did something.....

Hey CMS/HHS/FFM..... news flash!!! you want to fix your problems hire agents to tell you what to do...

I can already provide the only answer this line will ever give an agent: "you will have to call the Marketplace main number for that answer, the phone number is 800-318-2596'

You give them too much credit. I'm willing to bet the line will always be busy or you will always get a recorded message about heavy call volume and to call back at another time.
