"Clear" Language Apps Focus Groups

LOL! One guy tried to call his agent while trying to fill out the information (unfortunately the agent didn't answer). What a novel idea! Hope they noticed THAT.
 
Something related, but IL has moved to a "standard" group app and individual app for all carriers. What was once a 3-4 page app is now a 10-14 page app.

So much for simplicity!
 
This article does a great job of showing why a knowledgeable and impartial agent is needed.

If they wanted to make an improvement in the sales of HI; getting rid of the captive agents, call center sales, and mandating agents to a fiduciary duty to clients would do more than this bill ever would.

What's crazy is that the 14 pages don't ask for any more information than before. It just asks for some of the same items over and over again...(ie The primary applicant's name and SSN must be put on the top of every page!)

On the positive side, the health history for most ailments and diseases only go back 5 years. Great for people who were cured of cancer, alcoholism, etc. just 6 years ago.

Companies that have online health applications make it much simpler because they've merged the many duplicate questions.

Why are there ANY medical questions when it's guar issue??

It should be a 1-2 page app. What a joke.
